Here's how to spend the perfect Mother's Day in Chelsea

Mother’s Day 2023 is just a few days away. Looking for some things to do on Mother’s Day? Whether it’s Mother’s Day activities for toddlers or things to do with family on Mother’s Day, we’ve gathered everything you need to make Sunday 19th March the most memorable day…

Pop into The Baby Cot Shop for some shopping

Of course, we’d highly recommend dropping into The Baby Cot Shop whilst you’re in Chelsea on Mother’s Day weekend. Whether it’s to have a browse, treat yourself to one of our top Mother’s Day gifts or ask our in-store experts about nursery advice, our boutique shop door is always open. Whilst you’re with us, find out more about our Interior Design Service or take a peep at our stunning showroom, displaying our Balmoral Luxury Nursery Collection and more.  You can check our opening days and times here

Make your own kokedama at Chelsea Physic Garden’s family workshop

A kokedama is a part of Japanese Garden design. It’s a form of art that translates to ‘moss ball’ and it looks neat and chic in any garden or home display. If you’re looking for things to do on Mother’s Day, make your own kokedama at Chelsea Physic Garden, who are running a family workshop (from ages 7 and upwards) to mark the special day. You’ll also be planting your kokedama with seasonal spring flowers, just the thing to mark the new season.

Pamper yourself to afternoon tea and a blow dry at Bluebird Chelsea

Is it even Mother’s Day if you don’t go out with your mum or mum squad to celebrate? This afternoon tea offer is for all mums to enjoy. It includes a delicious Bluebird brunch with a coffee or glass of fizz, as well as a blow-dry from Duck & Dry (a one minute walk away), so you can leave feeling pampered and energised. What could be more perfect?

Decorate your own cookie at Biscuiteers Belgravia

One of our top Mother’s Day activities is just a 15-minute drive from Chelsea. Introducing Biscuiteers in Belgravia, a charming biscuit oasis with everything from hand-iced gifts to an DIY icing space. This Mother’s Day, we recommend booking their Mother’s Day DIY Icing experience, where you and your mum can decorate your own flower biscuits just like the professionals – and once you’re done, you can take home your finished creations in a box for your family to enjoy too!

Paint your own pottery as a family at Pottery Café, Fulham

Suitable for all ages, painting pottery is a fun and creative experience for your family this Mother’s Day. At the Pottery Café in Fulham you’ll find the most delightful handmade pottery from the likes of Emma Bridgewater and Royal Stafford, which you can choose to paint.  What’s more, all paints are water-based with non-toxic underglazes, meaning they’re safe for children and babies to get messy with. As well as being one of the top Mother’s Day activities for toddlers, it’s also a great pick if you’re a dog mum too – the café allows you to bring your furry friend along with your family (you can even paint them their own pet bowl – how unique!).
